What better place to meet other eligible rogues and wenches than on a tall sailing ship in the Caribbean? Cruising attracts single shipmates who already share a lot in common: passion for adventure and a love of the sea.
SingleTravel4U.com friends at Windjammer offer just that - explore 4 to 6 ports-of-call on a 6-day cruise. There aren't many tall ships sailing the world's oceans. . . but you too can experience a unique privilege once reserved for the affluent, the bold, and the daring. You will sail on the Polynesia (112 berths). . . . and at the 50/50 male/female ratio. Your food is covered, along with early morning bloody marys and rum swizzles at Happy Hour! Plus, wine at dinner. Plenty to do besides the optional excursions. . . deck games - or chill out and watch the sunset with that newly significant other you just met. Listen to that guy with the great voice singing "Amazing Grace". And, it's a starry, starry night and you are on a tall ship in the tropics. What's a body to do during the days? You can always go ashore and mingle with the locals. If you decide to stay onboard, take your pick of dancing, chatting at the rail, or just relaxing with your preferred beverage on the aft deck while you re-think your life.
O. K. mates and wenches. . . you have to sign up pretty early for these real popular sojourns. . . . better think 3-6 months unless you want to be on the waiting list. Sometimes you can squeeze in late if someone drops out.
The Polynesia sails from Sint Maarten. You will visit islands not usually visited by the big guys, due to draft and inclination. So, less touristy. The Poly may swing by Bequa, Guadeloupe, Iles de Saints, Martinique, Mayreau, St. Lucia, St. Vincent, or the Tobago Cays. Windjammer will assign your same-sex cabin mate if you are not traveling with a friend. The Poly has the Admiral Suite, Deck Cabins, and Standard Cabins with twin-share
You will fly from your departure city to the Caribbean point of embarkation, probably on Sunday, unless you are going to avail yourself of a couple of days exploring before sailing. You will get off the following Saturday morning for your return home. On Sunday night you can make use of the optional - but always taken - "stowaway night". . . meal, music, bed, and a chance to meet your shipmates. Sure cheaper than a bed in town, plus a meal. You do sail early Monday morning, and you don't want to miss the ship!
Each day will bring optional activities with you newfound friends. . . kayaking, visiting the local ruins, hitting the legendary bars - maybe get in a game of golf.
As we noted, there are not a lot of these singles-only sailings, and they sell out early. Please contact us for singles-only cruise dates and availability. Remaining singles-only boarding dates in 2006 are scheduled for April 9, August 27, and December 10.
As always, we strongly recommend that you take the optional insurance at $69 to $105.
Prices will depend on the cabin level you select and the city you fly in from. As a rule of thumb, you can think in a range of $1300 to $1900 including the air. A deposit will be required to hold your space. We will make this happen for you... and for your friends you may want to bring along. Drop us an email, or better yet, call us at 800 4 AGENCY (800 424-3629). You'll get a live person - we don't believe in phone trees.
At the time of booking, details of things to know before you go will be provided. These include guidelines for clothing, activities, liquor policy, etc.
