HONEYMOON HAWAII - THE KONA VILLAGE RESORT
"Hawaii as it was meant to be" is the theme at the Kona Village Resort, recommended by myTravelAgency.com as your "Honeymoon Hawaii" retreat - or that special place for a private romantic getaway. Thatched hales reflect the simple tranquility of old Hawaii - a stress-free, phone-free escape to Hawaii. Plan your honeymoon in Hawaii or your Hawaii wedding package. Your wedding in Hawaii will provide a lifetime of memories.
The Kona Village Resort is situated on 82 acres of the Big Island of Hawaii on the Kona coast. Thatched huts sit on white sand amidst palm trees, with ocean front, ocean view, and garden view settings. Many of the ocean front hales feature private jacuzzi spas on the lanais. All rooms include a private lanai, miniature refrigerator (stocked with complimentary beverages and mixers), coffee maker, safe, and daily maid service. Each of the hales are cooled by tropical balmy breezes and ceiling fans. Hales are in nine styles which range in size from intimate to large enough to accommodate multiple families. You may choose from a selection of floor plans and bedding arrangements for the standard hales, and the more exclusive royal hales.
The Kona Village dining experience, featuring full American Plan, emphasizes fresh island-grown vegetables and fish from local waters. Begin the day with old-fashioned country omelets and Belgian waffles at Hale Moana overlooking the bay. Enjoy a sumptuous buffet lunch Al Fresco, just steps from the beach. Dinner offers a choice of two oceanfront restaurants: Hale Moana or the more formal and romantic Hale Samoa. Here are two of Chef Glen Alos' signature menu items: Jumbo Malaysian prawns stir-fried with garlic, peppers, and Chinese vegetables; and duck stuffed with andouille sausage, figs and pine nuts, served with orange and mango coulis. The chefs prepare fresh fish, beef, chicken, lamb, hot dogs, and hamburgers on an open grill. On Fridays, one of your choices is the Legendary Luau. . . a 30 year tradition featuring a Polynesian revue.
Your getaway or honeymoon in Hawaii at the Kona Village Resort will feature a wide range of activities. Water sports include snorkeling, kayaking, and use of sailboats and body boards. There are complimentary glass bottom boat tours - volleyball games - catamaran snorkel cruises. And, diving excursions. Horseback riding, fishing, historic petroglyph, and helicopter tours can be arranged through the concierge. You may join special activities including Polynesian Arts and Crafts, Stargazing with Jon Lomberg, Polynesian Cultural Activities, and a Hawaiian Cooking Class. Between December and April, North Pacific humpback whales migrate from Alaska to Hawaii, and can be seen easily from shore, or via a catamaran tour. Plenty to do when you are not lazing in your hammock.
